![]() ![]() it deletes it on your machine too! They have 30 days of archive and you can restore files. (Not just a link, but an actual Share where they have a copy in their DB too.) If they don't unsubscribe from the share and just delete the folder. With Dropbox you have to be very careful of sharing the FOLDER with someone. ![]() (Other people's contracts, budget documents, etc.) Probably just operator error on GoogleDrive. I've seen shared folders appear in my list that surely were not meant for me/everyone. I get the sense that it is harder to keep up with file permissions and access than DB. I've used GoogleDrive as a team member of other projects. In that case I have a hosted private FTP server. Sometimes I just want to perma-upload and link. The downside: It needs to stay in your dropbox folder on your drive. Very easy to share bounces & stems or whatever. #Remove backup and sync from google annoying mac osThe great thing is that in Mac OS I can right click on any file in the project and send a link to the client. (I had a home burglary which cost me some data and a lot of work bringing everything back up to speed.) All activate projects reside in DB until done at which point they get backed up to harddrive and DVD-Rs. ![]() I got the pro version and started putting everything important in it for the security of offsite backup.
